Henry and Jesse have a conversation

First, I would like to clarify for all those who expressed concern that the photo of Jesse and Henry on the bike below is a fake. They are on a bike standing on the sidewalk. I am way too hyper of a mother to let Jesse taken Henry into Roman traffic on a bike.

Henry at 7 months

Yesterday was Henry's 7-month birthday. You can just see his two little teeth coming in!

Grammy saves the day

My mom traveled to Italy with us to help us settle in. I can't thank her enough for entertaining Henry while we wrangled the cats through security, organized the apartment, and made multiple trips to the grocery store. She is incredibly patient with him and an inspiration to me.

Henry says "mama"

As soon as we arrived in Italy, Henry began saying "mama" constantly. I like to think that it was his first Italian word.

There were several attempts to get him to say it on video.

Mexican food

Henry didn't eat well yesterday, but he was a champ in Mexico. Papaya not to his taste, but he loved avocado.

Here's the damage he did to rice cereal, apple sauce, carrots, sweet potatoes, banana, and avocado.

San Pancho, Mexico

We rented a terrific house right on the beach in San Pancho, Mexico. We went with REST, Alonzo, Grace, and Theo. (This was the our first group family trip, following our trips to Baja and to the Sundance Film Festival.)
