Lauren's going-away party

We traveled to Cincinnati to see Lauren off to college. It was a nice weekend full of blueberry picking, canoeing, eating, feting, and reading Harry Potter. Yes, we are huge nerds, but the book is really good! Can't wait to visit Lauren in Oregon.

Fire Island

Last weekend, we made our first trip to Fire Island to spend the night camping with Brian and Ellen. The mosquitoes were fierce, but the beach was beautiful.



Back in NYC, I braved my first Manhattan bridge on a bike. I'm not sure I'm ready to try another one yet, but it was the first step.

Wellfleet

We spent the week of the 4th in Wellfleet with the entire clan. With nineteen people in the house, including eight kids under twelve, it was controlled chaos as usual. We managed to cram in many activities, including croquet, badminton, beach baseball, beach kickball, tennis, tubing (getting dragged by the boat in rough water), and swimming. We were both very sad to head back to the city after our relaxing and fun time off.
