Halloween

We went to Catherine's housewarming/Halloween party last night as Elvis and "the Devil in Disguise." Halloween is Jesse's favorite holiday, and he was willing to die his hair black to be authentic. It looked so good that some people thought it was natural.

Newest member of the family

Just a quick post to congratulate Lisa and Philip on their new baby boy! He will be arriving from Korea probably in December or January. We are all excited to welcome him into the family.

Apple picking

With the Yanks out of the playoffs and the apartment coming together, we've had some time for other things before Jesse starts work tomorrow. We went apple picking with Nicole, Keith, and others, a long time tradition.


So far we've made apple pancakes and apple sauce, but we have about 22 pounds of apples remaining.

Off on the wrong foot

Interconex is not a good company. Our furniture is damaged, and our stuff is dirty. Not such a great move-in. We have our fingers crossed that the insurance company doesn't rip us off.



But the cats are enjoying the chaos.

Start spreading the news

We're back in New York and moving into our Brooklyn apt. The last week of our road trip was all with family and friends.

In Cincinnati, we celebrated Rosh Hashanah, wandered in the parks, visited the zoo, and ate Cincinnati chili.




We stayed for a night with Andrea and Carsten in Athens. Inspired by Carsten's parking lot photos, Jesse took one:

The last stop of the roadtrip was with Lisa and Philip in Baltimore. Jesse loved (and Eileen braved) the sushi, veal, and crabs.

Now it seems like real life is starting again.
